International Observe the Moon Night – 16th October (Cancelled due to rain)

Observe the Moon Night Poster

International Observe the Moon Night is an annual world-wide public engagement event that encourages observation, appreciation, and understanding of our Moon and its connection to NASA planetary science and exploration. Everyone on Earth is invited to join the celebration whether observing at home or at an organised event.

Our team at Wild Nephin National Park will have online activities you can do at home – crafting your own Paper Moon and to celebrate the evening, we will also have a short guided walk starting at the Robert Lloyd Praeger Bothy in Letterkeen to observe the moon and simply enjoy the sky at night.   UPDATE – Unfortunately our walk has been cancelled due to persistent rain forecasts.
